GLORIES TO THE LORD GOD

Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. (Mark 9:23)

What kind of end do you hope for yourself?

The answer seems simple and straightforward, doesn't it? Even though everyone has different dreams and plans, people would usually start by saying something like: “I hope to finish well, enjoying the following benefits…” However, everyone knows that what people desire and expect is one way, while what actually happens in the end is often different. But is there a way to guarantee the expected outcome? Yes, absolutely! If God guarantees what that end will be, then that is certainly how it will be.

Let’s reflect on this subject…

First, we must remember that God shows no partiality. With that in mind, let’s observe what He Himself revealed and promised—even to those who were in captivity and living in a foreign land:

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD , thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."
  (Jeremiah 29:11, KJV)

If we consider to whom this Word was originally addressed, we will understand its magnitude even better. They certainly hoped for an outcome very different from the situation they were experiencing in that Babylonian captivity… Yet, many people today feel exactly the same way—spiritually speaking—finding their current circumstances vastly different from what they had hoped for and feeling very far from their place of peace. They feel bound hand and foot, unable to make any progress in life, carrying a great emptiness in their hearts, and with their hope held captive. But how can one secure a desired outcome, without first finding the The One who will guarantee the fulfillment of the promise? So, for those who belong to the people of God—of the past and the present—what was essential, and remains so today, for seeking and finding the Lord? After all, He can set captives free and enable them to reach the outcome they so deeply desire. The Word says we must seek the Lord WITH ALL OUR HEART. Thus says the Lord:

"Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."
  (Jeremiah 29:12-13, KJV)

For someone to seek the Lord in this way—with all their heart—they must first surrender their heart completely to Him. Otherwise, something of the world (or much from it) will occupy that heart, making it impossible to seek Him wholeheartedly.

Therefore, if you wish to seek the Lord with all your heart, pray like this:

 My God and my Father,

I repent of my way of life, and I do not want to end up in captivity.

I surrender and give my heart completely to You.

I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and I receive Him as my Lord and Savior.

I believe that He died for me on the cross and rose from the dead.

Thus, I ask for the forgiveness of all my sins and the salvation of my soul.

And may You bring into existence the outcome I so deeply hope for.

In the name of my Lord Jesus,

 Amen.

Now and always, let’s remain faithful and continue seeking the Lord Jesus. Through Him, we have our victory! Thanks be onto God!

  And glory to God!

  Missionary Ricardo.
